How To Do Simple Tarot Card Readings

The simplest reading is a one-card birth or year reading.  Look for the same things discussed in our page "Single Card Reading" on the menu bar and go through the same steps to read your birth and year cards after you calculate them.  You will be amazed at how much a single card can reveal about your personality and what your tendencies throughout the year have been.  You can check how your present year will progress as well:
Birth Card
Your birth date numerically reduced
Ex.: Aug 10, 1963 = 8 +1 + 0 + 1 +9 + 6 +3  = 28    
2 + 8 = 10 or 1 + 0 = 1
So the Birth Cards are 10 The Wheel of Fortune, and 1 Magician.
Year Card
Birth year numerically reduced.
Ex. Birthdate is August 10, 1963. This is the year 1963. 1 + 9 + 6 + 3 = 18      
1 + 8 = 9
So the Year Cards are 18 the Moon and 9 The Hermit.
